Patagonia Park is a remote destination, yet easily accessible from different places across Patagonia. Click on the icons below to find the travel option that works best for you. 

Patagonia Park is located along National Route 40, making it easy to reach by car. You can enter through any of the park’s entrances. All roads within the park are gravel.

Private vehicle

The nearest airports to the park are in Comodoro Rivadavia, El Calafate, Esquel, Bariloche, and Balmaceda (Chile). From any of these, you can rent a car and drive to the park or arrange a direct transfer to your accommodation within the park.

Flight + Car Rental or Transfer

You can reach Patagonia Park’s Cañadon Pinturas Portal entrance from other places across Patagonia on public transport with the company Chaltén Travel. The stop is called "Parque Patagonia (Perito Moreno - Santa Cruz - Argentina).” From the Cañadon Pinutras Portal entrance, a park vehicle can transfer you directly to your accommodation within the park. You must arrange this transfer by reaching out to the park WhatsApp or email in advance. You can also reach Perito Moreno – the town closest to the park* – by bus. Marga Taqsa, Chaltén Travel, and Cooperativa Sportman are some of the bus companies that serve Perito Moreno. From there, you can rent a car or arrange a transfer to your accommodation within the park. (*Note: this refers to the town of Perito Moreno, not the Perito Moreno Glacier near El Calafate.)

Public Transport + Car Rental or Transfer

Entry to Patagonia Park’s Cañadon Pinturas portal and Cueva de las Manos portal costs ARS 6,000, approximately 5 USD. Residents of Santa Cruz, youth age 12 and under, and retirees can enter free of charge (with accompanying identification). Payment can be made by card or transfer when registering at a visitor center.
